'One of Those Days' & A Swing

Like most people, I start my days with the best of intentions. Today for example, I got up - made the bed - got dressed for a walk - dressed/fed Evelyn - went into the garage to get the stroller.....(this is the part where my good intentions were flushed down the toilet).......and realized the stroller was still in the car. The car that Mike took to work with him this morning. So. Rather than taking a walk I flipped on Hulu Plus to Modern Family (just a note, I NEVER watch TV during the day. Seriously). Ev and I watched that until her first nap. After I layed her down I realized I could use a nap too. I tried to sleep but kept getting woken up by Evelyn yelling/talking in her bed. See, she has refused to nap off and on this past week and this was one of those times. I finally gave up on a nap after an hour or so. Around the same time I gave up on Ev taking a nap too. I was feeling more groggy and a bit hungry for lunch. So I made a sandwich, grabbed some potato chips (a ham & cheese's best friend), sat down to eat and then Evelyn started screaming because she was so over tired from missing her nap. I set my lunch aside and fed her. Of course she fell right asleep. So I layed her down and took my lunch and the computer to bed. And I've been here ever since. Using precious nap time to peruse my favorite home decor blogs and pin on pinterest. The best part...I pushed aside the 2 loads of clean clothes on the bed to make room for such leisure! This is what I call "one of those days". Ever have one?

I just had to capture a picture of the site of my "one of those days" days. Notice the piles of clothes behind the computer? I thought that was ironic : )
Don't worry, they'll get folded.

On a different note. We took Evelyn to the park and she swang in a real swing for the first time. It was a picture-worthy moment.

She also played in the bark. We had to put her nuk in her mouth to keep her from eating it.

The best part of having "one of those days" is that at some point I usually get a super-powered burst of energy and become a get-stuff-done mad woman. I hear Evelyn stirring in her room. I think I'll start by tackling that pile of clean clothes on the bed...
